Mixed Bed Polisher
Clean and pure water is needed in industry and daily needs. This is the reason why water coming from rivers, lakes, oceans, and other water sources must be processed before use, to meet reasonable standards.But in the ordinary water treatment process, the water produced sometimes does not always meet the requirements, especially in its purity. For that, the process of water treatment is furthermore after raw water is processed into Reverse Osmosis technique for example. Conducting polishing for water to be more clear can be done with water demineralization technique called Mixed Bed Polisher.
This installation is an advanced process of demineralization, where ion exchange occurs in water using cation and anion resins, so that salinity and other contaminants in water can be removed, producing pure water.
demineralization is a concise process that uses cation and anion resins in one resin column at a time for each stage, and not just a cation or anion column. The usual dose is 40% for cation resin, and 60% for anion resin, although the volume may vary, depending on water quality.
Installation of Mixed Bed Polisher is usually required if the conductivity of water is less than 1 micro ohm. The result of this process is water with a super clear and pure quality, with a more neutral level of acidity, and the water does not need to be processed anymore.

Cation and anion resins are combined in a steel tube, FRP or stainless steel to produce ultra pure water.
Usually the mixed bed polishing unit contains strong acid cation (SAC) resin and strong base anion (SBA) resin is combined with a ratio of about 40% to 60% cation resin anion resin. (All volumes of resin depends on the analysis of entry and the water requirements of water needed from the treated water).
Mixed Bed Polisher are typically installed when water quality is less than 1 micro ohm conductivity is required. We can install a mixed bed polishers after a standard Reverse Osmosis or Demineraliser, to produce ultra high purity.
The cation resin should be a strong acid type cation (SAC) and anion resins should be a strong base anion resin (SBA) After the service cycle, each resin is regenerated as listed: (SAC): Strong acid cation resin is washed with approx. 30% hydrochloric acid. The above regeneration strength refers to the values before diluted with a MixedBed Polisher educator system.
(SBA): Strong Base Anion washed with approx. 26% caustic.

After the service cycle, each resin is regenerated as listed:
(SAC): Strong acid cation resin is washed with approx. 30% hydrochloric acid.
